About Mount Maunganui

Mount Maunganui is a suburb of the city of Tauranga in New Zealand. Mount Maunganui  also known to the locals by it's Māori name Mauao. The "now" suburb of Mount Maunganui has a population of almost 20.000 people while the city of Tauranga has a urban population of approximately 142.000 people.

Mount Maunganui is a coastal resort "town", and is a popular tourist destination because of it's long, white beaches which is also well known for its quality surf conditions.

My mum, Vanessa was born in Tauranga and grew up in Mount Maunganui. Mount Maunganui will always be "home" to my family and I.
